Happiness

Happiness

A Poem by Elle Alley

Is curious how happiness works. It warms our hearts, makes us feel full, infinite and light up with joy.

Oh happiness, everybody knows you, in the eyes of a special one, on the rhythm of a song, in the smell of a secret paradise, in the colors of the sky.

Oh happiness, you drive men crazy on their way to own you. How stupid the ones who think happiness can be owned, when it only can be felt.

Oh happiness, poor souls the ones who think they're going to find you after the battle, because they don’t understand. Happiness exists in the eyes of the ones who fight by our side, on the colors and views of places where we decide to fight our battles, on the color of the sky which watch us, fight and resist.

You know what? After going through a lot of words, I just arrived at the best possible description I can give this. Absolutely beautiful. I like the essence of this piece!
