Our Last Bye!

Written in regard and dedicated to my late husband(Doug,our love lives on)!

Our Last Bye!

An early November morn,
and unseasonably warm.
I stood by the door,
a quick glimpse in his eyes.
One quick kiss...
we said our last bye.

I ,not knowing this time
would be our last.
From this moment on,
all that could remain,
would be our past.

The years we did endure,
children we did rear,
love so true and pure,
Our life,I hold so dear!

I know in life,we may,
take for granted those we love.
Till we get a visit from,
our Father, up above.

Then each day seems like
one big whirl,
just trying to survive
in this cruel world.

Struggling to make a way
in a life so alone ,
yet knowing my love,
now is forever gone.

I remember our life,
seems like just today.
'oh,Lord I pray',
'Please guide my new way'.

I know someday
we will surely meet again...
it will be so beautiful and glorious,
to see all of them.

The smiles on their faces,
love in their eyes.
This love,we so need,
I do advise!

So live each day true,
like it's your last.
Remember someday you 'too'
will confront your past.

Some days I'm sure
he's here with me.
I can feel his touch,
hear him talk.
Lord 'I can even see
his funny walk'.

So rest assured
this isn't the end.
We will all see
our loved ones
again,my friends!

Now,I'll try to be content,
and live my life,
without undue burdens
of grief or strife.

Till the Lord comes
and,I 'too' am gone.
On my way with him,
to my Heavenly home.
