EASTER on the ISLAND of FAVORO

 

    EASTER ON THE ISLAND FAVORO

 

Melody and I stirred by the fire pit in

our cave home on Favoro,  We stirred ,

I took her hand and we walked out to

the mouth of the cave and witnessed the

most glorious sunrise known to man.

Some where we heard angelic voices--

" et fili, et cum Spiritu Sanctus".

 

The red ball of a sun was just breaking

the horizon and this was Easter morning.

We looked  at each other and without

hesitation we both Kneeled faceing the sun ,

we made the sign of the cross and murmured,

 

He has risen.........

 

Once the sun had fully risen, we arose,

performed our morning ablutions .  We ate

sparingly of the wonderful foods from nature.

Melody never looked more beautiful, I kissed

her and , as usual I adored her and she said,

"not today, John" and I understood.

 

The sun rose hot .  We prepared our usual

picnic and spending the day on the ocean

front,  counted our blessings.  It was a long ,

long count .  We have been awfully blessed.
