PLATE GLASS PEOPLE
Some write of the other side of the looking glass
Some just write while they pass gas
While you jot down your thoughts
Of all the bad people
And your mistrust of humanity
Perhaps you could give a thought
To the children you wrought
Perhaps a smile for the growing child
Who will make of this old world
Just what his parent taught him
Our disgust and fear of humanity
Will in turn disgust and sicken Little Jim
If some mad and love sick old fool
While crying in his beer makes you his tool
Remember to have a little dignity
Turn away in silence
That you not render compliance
Transparent people must tell the world
But their confessions we don`t need
Their lives are painted on plate glass
We look right through to the other side
