A Poem by Eagle Cruagh

 PRIMITIVE

No Aristotle here
No Joyce or Shaw
Just a product
Of my times

In the Spring
The ice will thaw
Capture essence
Taste every thing

When it`s good
It`s good
Relax
Enjoy the neighborhood

I like the way this poem supports my view that to be aware of this incarnation we are all so lucky to have been awarded is enough, and to enjoy it's every taste and tune, good and bad, is exquisite. It's not like we have to run around claiming ownership like arrogant fools. It's life! Just ride it, there is no title deed for anything here really.
Good stuff here, friend.

Well Eagle this is an excellent poem which brings to light that we must accept who we are and enjoy all that is! As I say "Enjoy the Journey of Life! We all Know the Destination!"

This is a great poem, simply written but at the same time in depth. I enjoyed.

This is a good poem. I love the last stanza,

"when its good
It's good
Relax
Enjoy the neighborhood"

Awesome! Words to live by!

"No Aristotle here

Irony? Paradox? Whatever it be you meant, it certainly pulled me into the poem. "Just a product of my times" - I take it as a paradox in which you seem to express you as a small, amateur person trying to reach out.

"In the Spring
The ice will thaw
Capture essence
Taste every thing"

Beautiful lines, quite straight-forward yet dreamy.

"When it`s good
It`s good
Relax
Enjoy the neighborhood"

:) :) :)

Keep writing.

Isn't that right, we're all a product of our times. Then as we grow older, we're frowned upon because by then the times have drastically changed. A very endearing poem.
