SEA OF GRASS

SEA OF GRASS

A Poem by Eagle Cruagh
"

The ocean of a simple shepherd who looks into the eyes of his Creator.

"

SEA OF GRASS

With thunderous roar

Mid crash and spray

Poet slides into her eyes

She moves close

To forbid intrusion

Opens wide and sighs

Thinking of majesty

C`est la vie

Simple shepherd sits

With blade of grass

hearing oceans roar

The tiny world alive

Streams and lakes

Surge with life

A drop of sweat from

His Creator brow

His world unbelievable

Incomparable complexity

All creation in a shepherd`s

Blade of grass

Very deep my friend, I like it very much. Would it surprise you to find that a city girl has sat with a blade of grass marveling at the world that created it? Reminds me of when I was little sitting in the empty lot next door, the grass knee high. Probably the first time I saw grass tall enough to have seed heads. I laid back and just watch the clouds the whole afternoon.

Sounds like Wyoming :)
This is beautiful in it's simplicity (which I adore)
and creative in it's creation. "A drop of
sweat from His Creator Brow" form many
a splendid wonders. I like this!

There's more in one word and one blade of grass than there is in a bouquet and a love letter .. when exchanged between the right couple.

'Simple shepherd sits ~ With blade of grass ~ hearing oceans roar ~ The tiny world alive ' - maybe more people should look at both the front and back of a blade to see the strength and depth of it .. tis beautiful.

You've near found the heart of Nature, the spirit of the Creator with this, it's near haunting.

So beautiful Eagle.. it seems almost a prayer in a way..
I have to save this one.. it is so soft and also true.

I absolutely love this. It is such a strong poem and the center of it is the beauty of creation (and the creation of beauty)! What a fabulous created poem by you!

I love this. I enjoyed seeing an image in not only every stanza, but every line as well. The story intrigues me as life reflection awaits on just a blade of grass.
Beautiful piece

Very nice. The complexity of the most simple. Even your structuring is complex in it's simplicity.
