STAY OFF THE GRASS

STAY OFF THE GRASS

A Poem by Eagle Cruagh
"

Stop the spread of garbage accross your land

"
STAY OFF THE GRASS

This is no garden party
Pigs are not invited to my yard
Stay off the grass means just that
Keep your dog at home retard

Our ancestors fought and died
To protect our homelands
Some of us can`t close a door
Too much effort to sweep the floor

We have to hire guards
To keep the riffraff out
Why must you see the crime
When the criminal is safe in jail

Oh I love people the girly said
Me too though some are better dead
We should open our eyes to the border
Opening the criminal gates
Will destroy any sense of order
Speeding us nearer the Pearly Gates

This is my land this is your land
The liberal sings when we`re attacked
But when creeping pushers slither in
It`s then too late you`re being sacked

Actually, I don't think any land is 'ours'. But there are entities out there who will not be satisfied to be corn farmers or shoe makers. They are the ones who delegate law and privilege, thereby creating division, which is the ruin of the common man. Those who believe that 'borders' will make us happier or more secure, don't know the history of borders.....
"We should open our eyes to the border, Opening the criminal gates will destroy any sense of order, speeding us nearer the Pearly Gates.".....
I love this line though I completely disagree with the declaration.
Good poem, got me wound up a little!
Thanks for sharing, Eagle.

I am politically very conservative.
It may surprise you to know that I was
ultra liberal in my youth, most people
are, then they mature.
This little poem was written out of exasperation
with the liberal attitude that welcomes every illegal
into our country. Land owning became popular with
the advent of an agricultural life . You can`t work all
season and have someone run their animals across your
land, destroying your food for the winter.
If anyone wants to argue the point, write to me at
[email protected] I will write you books on the subject.
Thanks for your understanding and your friendship.

"This land is your land, this land is my land"...Written by Woody Guthrie..He died from Huntington's Chorea or Huntington's Disease...It is a rare inherited mental disease caused from an abnormal gene..My grandson has the illness..Your using the phrase reminded me of Woody and the song which I enjoyed hearing before I ever knew of the illness or thought of being a grandmother...They thought that Woody had alcoholism and he was in and out of rehab but he was trying to medicate himself..He did not know that the illness was in his family because his mother was put away and he did dknoher.

a commanding and powerful poetic~ I could go into pages of commentary of land and human beings as caretakers and NEVER owners~ but I'll refrain from turning this electric poetic into a sociopolitical tirade from my end~ and just say~ what a truly potent poem you have created here~

Seems your borders, your problems and your politics are not disimilar to ours .. you've spoken out as is your right. It's a case of having opinions heard by the so-called powerful ones. But, the so-called man and woman on the street has to yell to be heard. this kind of poem does just that in its not too strident way.

We can't alter people's opinions wholesale, we can only advise them to be vigilant, to watch out .. once they experience the shortfalls they open their eyes and understand. To suffer is to learn, to learn is to ..

I like the ethics of your thought.
