COWBOY VISITS THE CAFE
While work`n down at the sale barn
Shovel`n you know what
I started think`n bout the gal in red
Ya see when I was travel`n
Just to see the sights
I happened on to this writers cafe
`Twas sure `nuff a delight
Pretty girls all over the place
`Specially that one in the red dress
She was sitt`n with some poet
A kinda girly type
Asked would she like to dance
She said there is no band
She looked around at the quiet crowd
Then she took my hand
I tried real hard to be polite
And sat with the two of them
She giggled a lot not more than him
She winked and moved real close
Reminded me of my old horse
The one I liked the most
Coffee drinkers all but one
The girl in that red dress
People were really stare`n now
When we began our dance
A funny two step to be sure
And me with the funny hat
But she was fun and we forgot
Our meeting was just by chance
She gazed into my eyes a lot
And melted into my arms
We forgot them silly people
Who thought they were so hot
I looked around and it dawned on me
Other gents liked that red dress too
One in the corner a foppish sort
Attracted the biggest crowd
He must have been their leader
`Fore he hit the ground
Ya see nobody looks at my best girl
With that undress`n look
`Less he`s sitt`n with his momma
And got one hand on the holy book
