THE LAST VERSE

THE LAST VERSE

A Poem by Eagle Cruagh

THE LAST VERSE

They looked deep into each others eyes
Their hearts pledged as one
No longer any doubt
They clung together
Forever !

A happy ed!
How nice ... and how hard to find these days ... I wish there were more of this kind here ... but everyone has to die or cry or finally break up ... Nobody understands the real meaning of love .. the ENDLESS love...
honestly .. I'm crying because of a lack of happy ends in today's poetry =)

The last verse of love, achieving togetherness, the verse that holds the most to it and yet the one that does not hold the most importance at times. I dig this, and no, I didn't choose the shortest one, this is the first I clicked on, but I'm glad I did ;), nah jk. It's a real skill to embody something profound in such a short form. Something that people write books about, and keep writing more and more books about.

But that's real skill right there people you're looking at.

I agree with everyone.
Short, simple, powerful with the added bonus of a Happy Ending! :D
I really like this one.
