I come up with the importance of the individual. Everyone is a unique little story that doesn't need to be critiqued to fit a theory. Sure, there are some great utterings out there and I respect them for their insight but if everyone gave up the wonder of free thought and the ability to question what is right for them, then we would stop growing as human beings and there would be no new thought coming forward. However, I can see the downside of all theories and that is the general lack of objectivity and the will to apply intelligent theories to one's self if the personal reward isn't great enough which is pretty much what you said. Hmm, great writing there, thanks indeedy.

Ah shucks you forgot to mention my favorite philosopher: Confucius-"answer simple question hard" I liked your energizing little daydream. It's not exactly my idea of a wakeup call first thing in the morning, but I will of course give it some thought...I can't say that I've ever insisted on having my own way with the world, but I can honestly say I won't let the world have it's own way with me. Now back to my trite rhymes and coffee; I need coffee! .... Great work Eagle! Smiles to you. M.
I couldn't have said it better myself. (And thus far, I haven't!) I do believe though, and perhaps even this is just for my own sanity, that one can transcend this omnipresent, self-serving philosophy. It is true that the natural state of the mind is to rationalize and dream up whatever reality seems convenient.
I look forward to seeing what I'll come up with too. I wonder what my philosophical flavor of the week will be. (better not be pickle covered ice cream nihilism!)
Well, the way you put that kind of makes all my writing seem like a bunch of illogical whining.
But, I did like this and I can see why you have so much salad there on your chest.
I'm off to read another of your...... ummm...stories.
Oh, and go look if you want to see what I can come up with.
Thanks that made me ponder...and you know how I like to fire those cells into intellectual motion. It is all open to interpretation I suppose, but you are right we are wicked little creatures when we are trying like hell to get our own way. Then rationalize our selfishness. So glad you are writng again...you are such a delight to read.
