Aw, this was so sweet. I have had my fair share of nice dogs, each equally as memorable as the other.
I really liked this poem. Even in three short lines, it was fantastic. I don't think that I've ever read such a short, simple yet loving and caring poem that I've loved so much.

I've tried all! The friendships don't always work for long, love hurts too much and my dog
my mother didn't like and had my dad take her away. The dog didn't let me down, however,
my parents did. Never got another dog, however, but have tried love and friendships again.

Thank you for fiting so much into a short poem! Some writers try to get their messages across in a really really long poem, and it annoys me because then I don't feel like reviewing it by the time I'm done reading it. I don't have a dog at the moment, but one of these days, after getting dumped and/or rejected for the millionth time just because I'm the "good guy", I am SO going to get me a dog. I hope you're right on this whole dog thing. Overall thanks for sharing, it was a great short poem and I enjoyed reading it more than once.
