SNUGGLES

SNUGGLES

A Poem by Eagle Cruagh
"

she climbs in his lap and is comforted

"

SNUGGLES

Snuggles are for babes and grandmas
And the Cutie that hears our groans
She crawls up in your lap
Sleepy, warm and soft
With a gentle sigh
Clings to you
Possessively
Yours

You breathe deep the scent of her and flowers
And fresh washed hair and stuff
And babies and bangels and
Bumpers and  bliss
Thanking God
She clings
To you
Like
This

You will not move from here to there at all
How could man be such a cad and spoil
This perfect rendezvous with loving
Sweet dedication which only asks
She be comforted and protected
By your loving chest and arms
Slowly hearts that beat as one
Make his day complete
He pulls a blanket
To warm her
In her
Sleep

I hope I am not wrong in my assumption, but I see a vision in this poem as the protective role of a father... a very soft and gentle piece.

I don't know what it's like to have children, yet I hope to some day... this best describes to me the comfort and joy one must feel when one holds their own in thier arms.

What a soothing read... Very nicely done!

I can't imagine that I would change a thing about this write. It flows so nicely. As comforting as the lovely lap and the arms that wrap around. :)

Out of every poem you have written, this is my favorite.
It's sweet and gentle. Made me feel like the way every girl wants to feel. protected and comfortable.
I loved the characters.
Not sure if it's an adult and child relationship, but that is the interpretation I got out of it.
Bravo my friend!!!!

Aww, this was such a lovely poem!
The only thing that irked me was the line: "And fresh washed hair and stuff." I didn't like the "and stuff," part of it. Though changing it would clash with the rhyming, I think something along the lines of "soap" or "love" (love would probably rhyme better) would make this line better. Also, I think the correct grammar would be "freshly."
Of course that is just me.
This was a great write!
