THE REAL MEASURE

 

You can tell how wonderful I am

You can see plain as glass

Just try`n to keep up to my friends

Is a never ending task

 

Right in front of me

Are pictures of the best

Trying to keep up with them

Don`t give me any rest

 

If they like me so darn much

And waste their good time and such

Then since they are smart and good

It can`t all be luck

 

I just look at all my friends

And get this contented feel

Since they all smile back at me

I must be real

I`m just like them !

I like this twist on birds of a feather. Usually when others speak of your friends and the company you keep it's to get you to change your ways. I am happy that you can look at your friends and people you associate with and have a sense of pride. We should learn and grow from our friendships.

Interesting...to be at the mercy of public image because each brain perceives differently.

Sometimes what they think can be none of your business

But it is funny to see what they see and question it any way.
