In a stream of consciousness that is
When you wonder out loud about a thing
And hold it up to the light
So you can look with all your might
And ask and pry and check around
Maybe its right here on the ground
That thing you seek and want to know
It may be in her rosy glow
When she likes you and you like her
Nothings hurting and lifes a blur
The sun is warm and the dog is fed
And it`s time for you to be in bed
Then think about today in a store
When a Mommie wiped the nose
of a little child -- I froze
For there was what we all adore
It didn`t come on gossamer wings
From the supernatural kind of things
It was just in that mommies eyes
When she listened to the babies cries
When he took her hand and didn`t stare
At something hot and bare
He just led her to a chair
And made her know that he was there
So I guess it`s not all magic and stuff
It may be just when you have had enough
Of the cruel old world and all that pap
She smiles at you and love was that

There is nothing much to say after a piece like this..it renders the reader speechless...for this piece is real.....It's like Eagle you have frozen reality (for once) in the form of words... poetry...images....feelings. This is truly a great piece of your work. I wanted you to know that.

Wonderful! You have captured that love that can be broken by nothing...not time, not space not even death. The love of parent for child is a wonderful bewilding thing...it is there even before the childs birth. Excellent voice through out!!
Oh how I absolutely adore this write of innocence and simplicity of that which is the most important aspect of life...that which is natural, that which comes from the heart, given by a spirit that bonds, expects nothing in return for love given as it is pure. I think of a simple, single blossom of a flower.....we may take a 100 of them and "create" a grand bouquet, yet is the individuality of each flower that makes the total package....each one in its own right is beautiful. I especially like the mention of the mother wiping her precious child's nose in the store....such a simple act, but done with love, and concern for her child!
That is beauty in love. You have captured the meaning of beauty in such a delightful way...ending with a smile! How wonderful!!
Excellent!
The best poetry is the discovery of beautiful, simple things... (atleast, in my humble oppinion :P)
You always deliver a message so stunningly, that there is nothing left to say, but only to smile in appreciation and utter awe...

hey!! this is the one you sent me via myspace :) :) it took me a moment (again, i'm slow) but then i was very happy :)
now that i read it again, i appreciate it even more. favorite parts? yes, favorite parts:
"LOVE IN A STREAM
In a stream of consciousness that is"
haha cute way to start.
"When you wonder out loud about a thing
And hold it up to the light"
love that. :)
"When she likes you and you like her
Nothings hurting and lifes a blur"
awww yes, and then you finish it with :
"The sun is warm and the dog is fed
And it`s time for you to be in bed"
lovely. makes me think of when everything is right and everyone (including the dog) is fat and happy, and you should be in bed, but you wouldn't trade the moment for the world. screw sleeping. :)
"Then think about today in a store
When a Mommie wiped the nose
of a little child -- I froze
For there was what we all adore"
i brought this up before, but this part killed me. one of my favorite images from a poem, ever. "i froze" - written perfectly :)
Isn't it beautiful to know that the greatest and purest gifts we are given do not have to be 'explained' or sought after...they are in innocent moments and our surroundings. You just have to be open enough and wise enough to embrace them.
You have captured all this in your writing...so beautiful. Thank you.
