DOG SHOW REPORT
Good evening Mr. and Mrs. America .
Goodwill here, bringing you the news from standard
stations, Gray Bull, Wyoming
We have exciting news on the dog show circuit this
evening. The Irish Setter has taken the lead and is
expected to steal honors at the giant Gray Bull, Wyoming show, the show of the week.
The Big Standard French Poodle is way out front on
her front and by shaking her tail in a girlish way, she
has all the male dogs in the show in an uproar, they
are all barking their foolishness at the empty stands
while the judge , with monicle firmly in place, puts
them down as just mongrels by their barking.
The old Irish Sitter has not been sitting idly by, in his
cunning way he has preened himself, looking every
bit the champion, he has wormed himself in to the
winning circles while the other male dogs are so busy
barking at the scenery.
Now the judge lines them up , dismisses the dachshund as being just short on points, dismisses
the terrier because he can`t keep his mouth shut.
Now he strokes his van dyke, looking every bit the
consumate professional.
The German has been put up, now he puts up another
German, the Rottweiler and another German, Spaniel.
The poodle is going nuts, held on the sidelines by
her handler, she is jumping in the air, barking, shaking her fluffy little tail. This poodle is going to
distract the other males if she possibly can.
It is becoming obvious folks, the poodle has a thing
for the sitter, who is foaming at the mouth in lust.
The rest of the pack, jumping, barking their silly heads off have lost their focus, aware of nothing but
the poodle with the fluffy tail. Of course the judge has taken this all under consideration. As he paces
back and forth in front of his selection, stroking his
van dyke, he draws on his experience to solve the problem.
All dogs have been dismissed now except for the
Irish Sitter and the German Shepherd. It has come
down to a matter of loyalty, all other factors having
been considered. The wiley sitter fawns at the judge,
panting as if no one existed on earth but the sitter and the judge.
Dignified and aloof, the shepherd is the epitome of
loyalty, but what of the things the juge has heard ?
Are shepherds trustworthy ? He makes a decision.
The Wiley Irish Sitter has been selected , he will be
Dog of theWeek. The German Shepherd , heartbroken , but maintaining the most exemplary
behavior, strolls back to his designated position.
Beaten, he will never be defeated.
