Intimacy is when two people connect deeply and you let someone in our your most guarded feelings and thoughts. Intimacy is when someone can take a look into your eyes and know if you are upset despite the fake smile or if you are feeling mischievous by the sparkle that gleams there. Being intimate is when you have a secret place you like to go to be alone with that person and simply listen to their heart beat as you lay you head on their chest. Those moments that you will treasure forever even if the relationship doesn't last. People are scared of intimacy because it means allowing yourself to be completely open to another being. Giving them control to hurt you and trusting them not to. It doesn't have to be a romantic relationship intimacy to me mean allowing someone to close enough to you that they could hurt you emotionally.
Yes you got me to read it.
But the content got me to like it!
really enjoyed this ...thinking of it alone is actually intimate
sends a shiver, a thought ,just intimate
thank you for sharing
Intimate means something different to everyone I think, it could be a glance between lovers, it could be that moment of truth between two people, it could be those cherished times when a mother holds her child to her bosom. Intimate is only scary when it's challenged. We have intimate moments more often than we stop to realize, nice ploy though getting people to read this Eagle.

You have to find one heck of a coroner to pulled off that feat!
I had this argument with a man once, he thought i was intimate with everybody. He was jealous and hateful. To me, intimate means i don't stand on ceremony, i don't keep people at arms length, especially when they need a hug.

Intimate means: The inmost character of a
thing or person.
So true... it really does mean to know someone in all their vulnerability ... and it that way it is a bot scary.... sometimes it could be thought of in a sexual terms.... but it really shouldn't be limited to that ! I really like this!
Intimacy... The word itself conjured up the image of my journal. If someone wants to know me intimately, my writing is the place to find me. I am in my words, my characters and the very language I use. Intimacy screams "NO SECRETS." Where some people have a hard time letting others see them intimately, others are quick to wear their hearts on their sleeves. Fantastic rant! I hate the way people use the word like they should be ashamed of it.
