Me against the worldA Poem by OluA story told to me by my late mother. I have decided to put it into writing.
When I was born,
The world told me a story. When mama looked at me, She saw the best in me. When I was a child, When I spoke my first word, It was me against the world. Oh! I knew everything. When mom and dad were alive, The world broke me down. At every point in my life, The moon and the sun frowned on me. Oh! Here I am today. After all they did to me, my life is still awesome . Whenever the tree waves its branches, I look beyond everyone's imagination. © 2018 Olu |
