Of She and Sky

Of She and Sky

A Poem by E.H. Monroe
"

Traditional..sure I can do that

"

The light upon her face reflects

A curve, kissed beauty glistens here

An eye, of heaven without peer

In heart, a praise to genuflect

In soul, a man is weak to thee

In mind, a lift of calming breeze

A glance, a tender grin to please

To touch the skin that He conceived

In death, welcome the depth of fire

The bed, invites eternal rest

My love, a shroud to wrap my view

In dark, my headstone kisses sky

The bell, a ring she waves a crest

She licks the final breath I drew

It started off so soft, so gentle, and then you came back to finish it...

o.k. o.k..o.k... As per usual, love the flow, it's awesome, it's brilliant, it's inspiring, blah, blah, blah...you've heard it all before and you'll hear it again
write a damn book, get it published you know your stuff... another hit out of the park

Damn! I don't know whether to crush my pen, stomp it to death, or step outside my writing box...I think I will step outta my box because I know I can't stomp my pen; I need it to keep writing. Inspired piece!

The softer side of E.H. Monroe a sonneteer and you do it so well! This piece takes us from the image of heaven in her eyes to the last breath she sucked from his chest….God knows we think we’ve seen an angel until they take our existence to the depths of hell, like the devil’s soul proprietor ….

Great Write Man!

I came back and read this again - Is there anything you Can't do!?

I came back to read again. I decided that you rock 'traditional'.

I don't find your words to be traditional at all, but then I didn't read 'she' as a literal woman either, so what do I know?

This is a great poem..resembles the beauty of perfection of she and
sky, and even in death it succumbs.
