Kerry's Imperative of the Assonance

Kerry's Imperative of the Assonance

A Poem by E.H. Monroe
"

from who the hell even knows

"

I have bruises of mental inflections and reflections of past lives where cries of lives implies that I have died

a thousand times

I tell stories of gory glory

And successes of a hard fought past

In thought,

I am the skeleton of saints,

faceless to show my place of symmetrical secrets and graveyards of angels prove that I’m wingless

She anchors my foot to this planet

I’ve Planned it

I panic that space has not enough room hence these dreams are infinite

When I die,

my thoughts will map the treasures of mental pleasures and flesh will impress the museums of seasons

and come from far and wide to ride the rising tide

My dreams are pain splattered in multicolored ink,

I think of things that blink emotions into existence

My dreams are a series of complexities

A Mirrored mirage of schizophrenic me

well it definitely sounds like you know something.
grabbing the confetti of life and writing it's improvisation quickly before it turns to ash... the rhythm was nice, complex thoughts and words finding their place.

this is too good to leave untitled. some amazing lines in this piece. thought-provoking and powerfully delivered and the last line knocks it out of the park!

How could the reader refuse the imperative of the assonance in the first line? There is a very vital dynamic at work in these lines which I find fascinating. You jump in the ring, deliver your blows hard and fast, then jump out again.

I am the skeleton of saints...
Great line.

WOW.................................That is amazing.
Emily is right goosebumps indeed. It is so powerful. I do believe in past lives so that made it feel more personal.
Thank you for adding me as a friend and i look forward to reading more of your work in the future.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful words.

Love
