An Eternity of Goodbyes

An Eternity of Goodbyes

A Poem by E.A.Rose
"

Ode to the ones we love

"

Goodbye, dearly beloved

Hats off to the ones who smile

With open arms and wide grins

They are the ones who make

Everything move.

Ado to you.

My sweetest friend,

The end of the road

Is here. And out somewhere

You will find your heart

In a desert-where the moon

Is stale and thin. high pitched love songs

Are sung below a breezeless sky

To you I say-

Goodbye my dear. Meet me

In the middle of the road

Another day

Another time.

Take a photograph. Hold it.

While it lasts. The world is thick

And evil is near. Your will is strong-

And it wont be long. Before the beginning

Has begun again.

This is quite brilliant...there was a touch of shadow yet I felt a bit of comfort in the end :)

Very well written. I love the feel of this piece. These are my favorite line;

Take a photograph. Hold it.
While it lasts. The world is thick
And evil is near. Your will is strong-
And it wont be long. Before the beginning
Has begun again.

I love the imagery of this piece as well. Wonderfully penned. Great job.
