Smiling in the Dark: Earth from an Airplane

Smiling in the Dark: Earth from an Airplane

A Poem by E.A.Rose

From up here

I can see your veins

delicate and comlicated

like a channel of secrets,

racing away from the source

in Farce and French.

Your compromising complexion stretches

into the horizon. even with your overlapping scars

and disheartening blemishes

You are still my lover.

Your lights, like laughter-

Keep me coming back to you

time and time again.

From up here,

You are smiling.

Even in the dark-

You are smiling.

This one needs work. The ending is weak, i think. Or perhaps it needs more? Your thoughts?
