A Poem by Eli
"

I'm writing my first poetry book, this will probably be included

"

Don't mind me tonight

I walk along shadows

Step, step, clouds down low

Don't mind me tonight.

Don't come with me now

I speak my wisdom, not questions

Breathe, breathe, my eyes averted

Don't come with me.

Offer me more, offer me plenty

I move on tonight.

Through meadows,

Under blue skies,

I move on tonight.

Offer me more, offer me plenty

Where is it I go, tonight?

Clouds down low, I walk,

I speak down low tonight.

Where are my books?

I walk miles tonight

I reach around and pull

Offer me more, offer me plenty

I speak my wisdom

Where are my books?

Where did I go?

hey eli, it's been a while since I've been on here and I came across your poem. It's a beautiful poem, a feeling I can understand myself, kind of like facing reality and it is honestly so scary, but you make that journey and when you do maybe you'll feel more full again. I hope you keep writing, maybe I'll start again too! Loved it :)
