FAITHFUL GODA Poem by Abla-vi Dzifa AkakpoInspiration from a song
How can I explain the vastness of
your love? It would be as hard as measuring the
water in every sea
You’re the world’s greatest treasure
None can be compared to you
When trials and tribulations blot out my
faith
You nourish, heal, and cleanse me
Like cool refreshing rain
You always come through for me
Even when I don’t deserve it
My Refuge and My Fortress
My soul is at rest for I can never be shaken in you
You’re the GOD of impossibilities
Cause you died and rose in Glory
You parted the red sea without stress
Walked on the sea freely as though on
land
You know the number of hair strands on
different heads
You bless me beyond measure
As the amount of sand on this earth
The way you show me mercy and grant
me grace
Bursts my brain every night and day
Most people call you Omnipotent (The Most
Powerful)
Some call you Blemma Tɛsaa (The Rock of Ages0
Others call you Onwanwanii (The Wonder
Working God)
But I call you Mawu Gbagbe (The Living
God)
One cannot give what he doesn’t have
You are full of Life and Life is what
you gave us
We are grateful for who you are
Because with you
There is joy, peace, love
There is uplifting, comfort and
liberty
With you there is no discrimination,
talk of favoritism
There is no "Sika Mpɛ Dede"
There is no need competing for "kokromoti"
power
There is no need for coup-d’état
You reign forever and forever you
shall reign. © 2022 Abla-vi Dzifa AkakpoAuthor's Note
