Snow Day

Snow Day

A Poem by Tony

I can't deny I'm a little confused

For lack of a better word to use
I know full well my wits are back
It's winter in hell kid, cut me some slack
Thinking clear never felt so right
But I still just may bring back the fire tonight
Maybe they just didn't think it renowned
Or write it, that moment of snow falling down
I'd finally done it, was on my way out
But hoping for good often changes our route
One can be taken more easily than some
That hope is forsaken by what I've become
Yeah one might not know where to go at the fork
But surely I should have just chosen New York
