Orange Grove

Orange Grove

A Poem by Tony
"

The product of extreme frustration.

"

 Oranges, oranges

Are 756 enough?
792's too much - too much

I haven't got a barrel spare
Cuz oh can life be so unfair

36 won't change the world

or feed you or get your pretty girl

BUt 36 can make it alright

And I'd sleep like a baby tonight

Lucky lucky said he'd given up

But he always thought he'd find the way
Watching down over his orange grove

He'd realize he'd only saved today

Work so hard to keep yourself alive

It ain't the dream he's got but it's

the bigger cloud of the two, up there in the sky

Oranges, oranges

Are 756 enough?

792's too much - too much

I haven't got a barrel spare

Cuz oh can life be so unfair

36 won't change the world

or feed you or get the pretty girl

But 36 can make it all right

And I'd sleep like a baby tonight

Lucky lucky had to pick it up to give it up

And he'd always said he'd find the way
But he watches down on his orange grove

from a little higher now

It's bare and he can't care for it

Still he saved that day

Oranges, oranges

756 were enough

792 would've been too much
Another few he'd watch as they die

From the smaller cloud up in the sky

36 can't change the world

or feed you or get the pretty girl

But 36 can make it alright

He sleeps like a baby tonight
