Travellin'

Travellin'

A Poem by Tony

I tried not to mind the sign

every time I crossed a state line

They never do tell you you're leaving

only a welcome, it's a little deceiving

I'm not coming to Cali, I'm just leaving home

and if I end up in LA, it's only cuz I roam

I'm not going any place,

I'm just getting to know my bass

They said that I should fly
Well music, my plane, it takes me high

Florida ain't my goal, but melody is my cruise control

If Miami takes me in, it's only where I strolled

They asked me where I was going

I asked what the fun is in already knowing?
I said let music take the lead

Get the rhythm flowing til you pick up speed
I'm not headin east, but music's a beast and I'm on its leash

If I end up in New York, it's just where the music reached
