River of heartacheA Poem by Anissa AmerSOng
It's just a matter of time
Before this love goes away And you'll be charged with the crime Of burning this heart with dismay. Cry me... a river when I go. Let all indecencies be known, You were never here alone and I'm the one that you called home. And you can leave me here, to die and if you will throw my name away. Let it be this way. I worked too hard, struggled for too long Loving you too much, fighting for you strong. Cry me... a river when I go. Let all indecencies be known, You were never here alone and I'm the one that you called home. Try as we might this romance can't be, and you're fading away.(fading away) Caught in the embrace of lovers rancid past.(caught in the past) My time in your heart was Alcatraz. Crucify this heart of mine. (baby) Take me by the hand and kill me slowly, baby. murder me softly with your delicious lust.. Take my life here , where I stand. (can't stand this) Darling, don't fear, I will be there All around you now and forever, souls and ever. Cry me... a river when I go. Let all indecencies be known, You were never here alone and I'm the one that you called home. I'm the one that you called....home. © 2013 Anissa Amer |
