A bleeding heartA Poem by Anissa AmerI did this for a contest
I loved once.
It was a fatal affair She was a precious jewel For which my wife did not care. Head master and his mistress No secrets were shared. Not many words... just eyes here and there. After the castle was settled in bed we'd meet in the garden and trade words instead. When my wife saw us there.. And off with her head. My heart ceased to beat. the rain and fog, deep. But there was a secret never unfolded... For I was the count. Though, my wife did not know this.. on a night she lay her pretty head... I took her life... blood stained the bed. © 2012 Anissa Amer |
