Where there used to be green. The rain hasn't come. And she suffers, from the scorching beams of the sun. Still, she lets her hair down and she prays to the heavens It's been six months since the last drop. Maybe next will be lucky seven. She handles a stick to draw rain turtle in the sand She pivots his shell in hopes to bring rain to this dry heated hell. Jump from one foot to the other rain dance girl Preform all your humming and dancing and spells Slap the ground, and pray for water. wish to be the rain god's daughter. Rain dance girl, why are the gods so cruel? When mother earth needs to drink they bewilder her fooled.. She dreams of the rain even for a small shower she longs for a thirst quenched to dance in the midnight hour Rain dancer, it looks like your dancing did justice Cause when you awoke, water covered the plain. she smirked for a moment, only to raindance again. © 2012 Anissa Amer |
