Thames

Thames

A Poem by getinthecarplease

And did he hear the cohesion upon the sturdy bridge at dawn
A trillion faded fawns prance in the skies filled with fire
Train the faithful with your spice and spiteful spire

Across the dunes with dreams of the galactic hand
Abide by the laws of the sand and the reverend man
In churches underwater with the priestess and her daughter

Launch into a space of spaces
A hall of glowing faces
Reaching for the places
Where we went wrong

Collision speaking in tongues uninspired
Treason ties in to the knots of time
A rhyme to complete
The poetic suite
Incapable, insatiable, erasable

Choirs of pinheads floating around
With the curtains burning
Whilst the mighty surround
Our secret sound

Read the label fable
Reach the wire and slit the line
Reason abroad this vocational vacation
Reality is key
Beneath the sea

What is it that we mean?
What is it that we see?
What is it that be read?
