Carnival

Carnival

A Poem by getinthecarplease

Bowls of wax from candles softly held by
Coroners parading to the graveyard
Dreamt for spectres marching by in breast form
Secrets spoken by the waters
Cold August's reign of summers in December
State in ruins of time
Invocate the master to the ring of
Stones encircling the skull
Pour pleasant streams of red wine
Drink to the moments of torture
Glimpses of the moonlit daylight
Wash upon the sediment
Caress the jovial instance with
Dismal Pterygota
Sail upon the rivers of the sky
In gypsy courts of gold
Silk healing in the weeping rivers
Fold the crane in shadows
Squirm and writhe upon the
Celluloid pictures
Crest upon his cloak of rotten words
With galleries of curses
Sing the chants for Gregorian peace
Alas the people are juggling
Scorch the sonnets with fire and
Coals in the furnace
Hellish rain upon the pink tent
The freaks align in the streets
March along the cities of the world
As person and as leader
