Crimson

Crimson

A Poem by getinthecarplease

Torched the emerald blades of dawn
Upon the lawn of an autumn day
Weeping was the grove and line
Within the teary dewdrop spray

Whispering winds kissed an oak
Under the light of a noonward sky
The children gathered in the field
To ignite the game amid the rhye

The cast of clouds left an azure stage
A gleaming eye has shut
The lavenders and opaques
Abandon a moonlit hut

The dream
The scene
The illusion
The confusion

I swam the lake of crystalline tears
You left the mansion of dreams and fears
He sat alone beside the flowers
She dreamt alone of eternal hours

The sea shuttered it's tide
The silence suddenly cried
The sorrow shall confide
On the day the raven died
