Would you

Would you

A Poem by Dylan Posthuma

Would you kill me if
I told you, you were perfect.
Would you hear me if
I yelled it and would
It be worth it?
Would you slit my throat if
I kissed your neck?
Would you hear what I
said with my dying breath?
Would you tell me
How you really felt?
Would you make my last
Moments really count?
If I gave you my life
would you turn it down?
If I gave you my love
Would you turn around?
If I cared at all
Would you take it back?
Would you cry
If I were to die?
Would you live your
Life like I was yours?
Would you take me back
'Cause I can’t take this anymore?
