Take me away

Take me away

A Poem by Dylan Posthuma

Take me away.
I can't stand this place no more.
Take me away.
I feel like I'm falling to the floor.
Well I can't breathe.
I don't have those friends no more.
I can't breathe.
Living this life is such a chore.
So take me away.
So take me away.
Take me away.
Take me away.
You know I'm lost forever more.
Take me away.
You know I'm locking up my door.
I have a dream.
That some day I'll be yours.
I have a dream.
Where being alive means something more.
So take me away.
Take me away.
Take me away.
Take me away.
We'll live in the land of the poor.
Take me away.
Show me my life means something more.
Why can’t you see?
All these things you do to me.
Why can you see?
Without you I can not breathe.
So take me away.
Take me away.
Take me away.
Take me away.
'Cause I can not breathe anymore.
Take me away.
Staying alive takes so much more.
Open your eyes.
Let me read all of your lies.
Open your eyes.
To feelings you can't disguise.
So take me away.
Take me away.
Take me away.
I'm up on the roof.
I'm looking down.
I think of jumping but I don't know how.
I think of your face.
I think of my life.
I think of the pain and wonder why.
So take me away.
So take me away.
Take me away.
Take me away.
I'm out on the edge.
I'm falling down.
I close my eyes and I hit the ground.
A blinding light.
A deafening sound.
Then just darkness all around.
So take me away.
So take me away.
Take me away.
Take me away.
Take me away.
