Like a drug

Like a drug

A Poem by Dylan Posthuma

I'm here and I'm waiting for you.
I wont leave until your here with me
'cause I cant seem to breathe without you.
That's what you do to me.
You're like a drug on my tongue baby.
Let me take you
Feel you running through my veins.
I'd take lonely walks for countless miles
All for you.
I'd crawl on my hands and on my knees
Through burning fields and broken glass
Just for you.
'Cause that's what you do to me.
You're my favorite pill
You get me through every day
And every second I'd be blue.
Let me take you.
Let me sweep you off your feet.
You're always around my angel from above.
'Cause I can't seem to breathe without you.
That's what you do to me.
You're like a drug on my tongue baby.
Let me take you
Feel you running through my veins yeah.
Your eyes will never land on mine
And all I want is to hear your voice again.
That's what you do to me.
I can't breathe.
