(Chapter 2) In Her Head

(Chapter 2) In Her Head

A Chapter by Dy
"

An insight into her mind.

"
She stood in a long lost place, staring off at nothing. Nobody was there. It was absolute bliss. This nothing that she had found, it was perfection. There was no pain there. It brought a ghost of a smile to her face. She almost felt joy.
Something warm suddenly touched her. She looked about, but saw nothing. It must have been a delusion. Her mind had begun tricking her more often now that she was in this secret little world. She didn't mind though. The hallucinations kept her company. The only downside to this place were the dark voices in her head at night, pushing her closer and closer to the edge.
The voices were just some make believe darkness, at least that is what she told herself. Nothing had ever happened so she was content, and it wasn't as if they were completely unreasonable. Sometimes the things they told her to do seemed appealing. She hadn't done any of them yet but was slowly edging her way towards that path.
All of the sudden she started hearing voices other than the ones in her head, or rather one voice. It sounded familiar, though she couldn't quite place it. She could sense some sort of kind emotion in the voice. That was odd. The voices were never kind. She decided it must just be another delusion.
What she didn't know was that someone was really there. Someone was trying to pull her back but they could not get into her mind to free her. That it was him desperately trying to get in her head.
