Read Slow Turns the gears of your mind to low Allow your eyes to steal what I have to show Look, recognize, but do more than just know Relax and read slow Don’t let a word, or a letter go over your head Touch it if you must; obtain the poison from the lead If your soul is hungry allow it to be fed And that extra layer you have for protection, go head and shed Move in closer Don’t be shy Ask questions to your self Who, what, when, were, and why Your pupils stare at it but read it with your third eye Allow my words to be the priest Your are the young child Let them touch you Allow the phrases to reconstruct the roads of your mind So the thoughts won’t rush through Embrace it Don’t run, face it And in case it Passes you by Go back for another try But what every you do, don’t let it go Just read slow Read so slow that you slip into a temporary retardation Read so slow that it causes frequent hesitation Read so slow so it stimulates concentration So if skimming is your normal pace then Turn it down a notch And keep your head low When faced with my children Look at them face to face, eyes wide shut And read slow © 2008 WayzWithWordzReviews
