Lost Notebook

Lost Notebook

A Poem by WayzWithWordz
"

You ever left your notebook book somewhere? anywhere? Every poet does it one time or another

"

Lost Notebook

A notebook left in solitaire

Secluded from what has been included

In its own pages, the words that alluded

To something or someone out of grasp

This lost lounge of left words

The wind pushes pages left and right

Back and forth

It is as if the Gods had to double take

And made the common mistake

And over look the hidden message left in poems

This undiscovered pad

Screaming out for the people passing to not pass him by

Without looking in his eye

Laying there tempting every man

Like a naked woman

Laying there temping every woman

Like flowers with her name on it

A notebook made with wide rules

And a sturdy spin

Waits with hopes to find something that will untangle his confusion

But until then

He will be picked up just to be le back down

And left over and over again

I enjoyed your use of metaphors throughout this piece, in describing the abandoned notebook. Very rich and lovely.
