Truly Missed

Truly Missed

A Poem by WayzWithWordz

Truly Missed

The wind whistles a melody
To me
Of an untold destiny
As I knocks around the chimes
I think of the times
Of when I had you in my arms
But I released you
Now I am in harms
Way, and not a day
Goes by
That I don’t think of the first day we exchanged “hi”
And the last time we said “bye”
Why?
Must my heart feel the pain of a thousand slaves
Casting a shadow over my brightest days
Has me thinking in ways
That may make you think I’m trying to hide
A suicide
Because after every daydream
I collide with reality
It saddens me
Every time
I think of a rhyme
To elaborate on what was once mine
As I grab another tissue
I blow out and wipe away every issue
Because damn I miss you
I miss love

I loved it as always...
Which isn't much of a surprise.
But it was great.
I love how you use the metaphor of the thousand slaves.
It was touching and brilliant.
I miss your writing so.
