Sensual Conversation Part 2
On a night similar to the one that made me
Write this
We sat up with the moon
And conversed
It was like, unknowingly, we rehearsed
Our wedding vowels too soon
We covered every topic
Occasionally veering off on a tangent
But stayed true to one another
I can remember one line distinctively
I told her “I caught feelings”
And she objected
And rejected
That accusation
Stating “no one threw you those feelings”
We both made feelings
They were produced
And her using the word “we” reduced
Every worry I had of mutuality
And to the war on love
I was a causality
Dying and lying
In her arms
Securely away from the harms
Of the world
And coincidentally that is how I really laid
In her arm my head on her lap
Thoughts of her were on their 73rd lap
Around my mind
We laid free, not a prisoner of time
As she rubbed my head
Caressing my thoughts
My eyes remained closed
Not from fatigue
But I felt the need
To concentrate on my heart
Allowing them to be the start
Of every line I gave to you
Making it even that much more true
As the world flashes before our eyes
Through the T.V.
But all I see
Is you
This is why the T.V. is on mute
I do not look forward to the nightmare
Of reality
Because she is a dream I would slip into a coma for
And tonight me, you, and the moon shared
An exchange of passion and sincerity
And unlike most men, that night was not scaring me
It carried me to were I want to be
And that is next to you for more than the moon to see
It is on nights similar to that one
That makes me pick up my pen
And publish my heart
Telling the world how I fell in love with you
All over again
