This is how i would ask someone to marry me...

 

A True Proposal

 

Alright here it go

I know I asked you to marry me

A few poems ago

But I don't think you know

What I meant by that

Over the last few decades

The definition has changed

I want us to arrange

Our life plans to be parallel to one another

Unlike any other

Definition

Implied by others

I want our marriage

To be more than dating with an extension

 

Wouldn’t it be grand?

If we could be like our grand

Parents

Isn’t it apparent?

That I love you more than love loves us

I just want to discuss

My no longer hidden agenda

I want to spend the

Rest of my life with you

I don't want to be your baby's daddy

I want us to be our baby’s family

Let’s get away

From today

And start a new tomorrow

Through yesterday

As some might say

Its 2007

As if I don't know the day

As if I can't strive to be in heaven

With you

Let’s generate a new generation

Let’s make reality out of our imagination

Let’s jump in to it with no hesitation

So when I say I want to marry you, girl

I’m saying I want to change the world

I want people to look at us, and bury the envy

And instead look at us and strive to be

Like we

And see

That old country love

Can survive in a city

 

I will ask you again

So you can understand

I want to be more than your man

I want to be your companion

I want to care for you, and you to care for me

So......will you marry me?

I will wait if you need time to think about it.....
