Memory.

Memory.

A Poem by Dinkleman
"

This poem is a bit more personal. This one revolves around friends either dead or moved away.

"

These skies were once blue.

The future if full of fear.

I remember the days that I flew.

As I sit here on this pier.

I look out into the murky water.

Missing the good ole' days.

Thinking of the smiles and faces, but why bother?

Old habits and old ways.

Walking to the edge, I feel the chilld of the wind.

Rushing back the memories of friends long past.

Everything seemed so thinned.

This high won't last.

Walking away, I look back and remember the smell.

The clear air reminds me of a time less complicated

Looking forward, I hope it goes swell.

This life is completely overrated.

The title matches the poem. Memories at times seem to take us back to moments that were special to us. I love this poem

Nicely written liked the flow and rhyme scheme.
