Musical

Musical

A Poem by Dustin Reichmuth
"

I'm writing a musical.

"
What's going on here, I don't understand
Something is crazy, and it's out of hand.
These boxes are burning, the paper is flying, and Darla is screaming
And I just can't say I am a fan

But I do, know, that this is something screwed, up.
And I wish that it would, stop for a second
So just back up, cut the brakes and watch a speed up,
I think we're waiting for abnormality, some sense of urgency
Oh the calamity, I feel your heart beating

Don't you understand that I'm going there
Fighting for all the fear, I can tell that we are near
We're up on that stage, fighting for days and days
Letting those demons scream.

What I really mean, is that this, is something marvelous
Like bliss, but not ignorance, a hit and a miss, or a, near miss from a plane
Trains, blaming games on the fame of the lions that we tamed

Because I keep rambling, I know what I should see
But it's something truly mad
Or is it?
Maybe it's a lost piece of art, or another broke down old start
I'll never know
Or will I?

Don't you understand that I'm going there
Fighting for all the fear, how much can you take?
I'm up on this stage, laughing through page to page
Letting my demons ring
The bells.
The bells.
The bells.
The bells.
They ring the bells.
They ring the bells.
Bells.
Bells.
Bells.
Bells.
Bells.
