Wilder

Wilder

A Poem by Dustin Reichmuth
"

Remember that town, that used to be Ours?

"
The birds attack their prey
Day after day
We bleed and we bleed
Taken too early.
And it's so hard to say it
But we can't reclaim it.
We're dizzy, we're fading
Hell's just not worth saving.
Breathe into me, and let me be
I'm so sorry
We're incomplete.
Just breathe into me, and let this be.
I'm so sorry.
Rest in piece.
The sting begins to burn
Take your turn.
Restless and disabled,
We are not quite able
To break into this,
And feel something greater.
They all long for your kiss.
But death comes later
Breathe into me, and let me be
I'm so sorry
We're incomplete.
Just breathe into me, and let this be.
I'm so sorry.
Rest in piece.
Breathe, until your lungs begin to seep
Into the swamp beneath your feet
You've created a monster, and it won't let me be.
Breathe, until the world turns into black
And there's no turning back
You've left me, a monster, and it won't let me be.
Breathe into me, and let me be
I'm so sorry
We're incomplete.
Just breathe into me, and let this be.
I'm so sorry.
Rest in piece.
Breathe into me, and let me be.
I'm so sorry.
I'm so sorry.
I'm so sorry.
Forgive me.
