Tackle Attack

Tackle Attack

A Poem by Dustin Reichmuth
"

3 Months Later...

"
So long
It's been awhile now, and it's not worth talking.
So goodbye
I'll see you later, maybe never, I don't know.
It's different
How we all perceive the emptying of our waters.

But I know how to find
And I know, how to survive.

Tackling the very fear that's left us shaken.
Hurtling through the void, the ground is quaking.
We are showing, we are lonely, we are only just beginning.
But I say, you may never own me.

So tired
It's been a long time since I've felt the wave.
Tall tales
It's the way you portray the betrayal.
Subside
And feel, like we all know what you're thinking.

But I know how to find
And I know, how to survive.

Tackling the very fear that's left us shaken.
Hurtling through the void, the ground is quaking.
We are showing, we are lonely, we are only just beginning.
But I say, you may never own me.

Was it fast enough for you
Was it quick enough to lose.
Was it easy to feel.
Was it crazy to fear.
Was it fun for you to breathe.
Wasn't sincere enough for me.
So just look into my eyes.
Say so long, say goodbye.

Tackling the very fear that's left us shaken.
Hurtling through the void, the ground is quaking.
We are showing, we are lonely, we are only just beginning.
But I say, you may never own me.
