Contemplation, MisconceptionA Poem by Dustin ReichmuthIt's a known fact, that waiting around trying to make a decision for too long will often lead to missed opportunities. Don't blame me for your thoughts, dear.
I'm a fool, and I know it.
But I would never dare show it, not to you. You'd take advantage, time after time. And I'd fall over, rhyme after rhyme. But not for you, you see. You're a w***e, and you know it. All you ever seem to do is show it. You take control, because you're capable, of everything. They line themselves up, just to be in your scene. But it's not for you, you've seen. I confess I was wrong, I'll admit you were right. Just give me a place to lay my head tonight. I'll sever my bonds, I'll burn all my bridges. Just so long as you see, I gave you the best wishes. But the contemplation gets us nowhere. They're all to blame, I can feel it. But we'll never conceive it. It's a shame to believe, we're owed, something so different. Because entitlement burns, and the tables will turn, into belligerent. And then we will see, we were wrong, and we'll cast the indifference. But the contemplation gets us nowhere. I confess I was wrong, I'll admit you were right. Just give me a place to lay my head tonight. I'll sever my bonds, I'll burn all my bridges. Just so long as you see, I gave you the best wishes. It's a mark upon my heart, it's a tear in my soul. All because I damaged, your heart of gold. Was a sacred thing, and I bled to the core. Just so my contemplating, would haunt me no more. I confess I was wrong, I admit you were right. Just so long as you see, the contemplation got the best of me. © 2011 Dustin ReichmuthReviews
