Battle of the AgesA Poem by Dustin ReichmuthI wrote this a very long time ago, so it may not be quite the quality of my other writing, but I thought I'd share nonetheless
Five hundred thousand arrows flying at you through the sky.
Say goodnight. Please, this is your final scream 'Cause you're gonna burn tonight. Beneath, the flaming hell. That I will bring, yeah, I am bringing your hell. Today, I don't seem to care anymore who lives or who dies. It's a fatal cry to be making, but who's gonna tell? I, am enjoying the scenery, of the village idiocy, it's so soothing. Tonight, you won't be making a sound, hitting the ground. So loud, so long, hold your head, hold it up high for all to see. Something so completely, devastating. This, song goes out, to the ones, who fell, who feel, you fell. The battle it rages on, but you don't know what side to choose. Rain falls from the skies, can't hide what this is. It covers the flames, hides them beneath the silky mist. Trust me my shot wouldn't ever miss. It seems like you're gonna be going out, with a bang, what a shame. 'Cause you know how I love this. I, am enjoying the scenery, of the village idiocy, it's so soothing. Tonight, you won't be making a sound, hitting the ground. So loud, so long, hold your head, hold it up high for all to see. Something so completely, devastating. Pick your side 'cause my time is running out. The lovers, or the loved. I don't care, who cares, about who's caring anymore. Because, I slammed the door, in their faces long ago. This is, a battle, the hate, the love, the lovers, I hated. Pick your side, the battle will be fought. Five hundred thousand arrows flying at you through the sky. Tell me who's turn is it to take the fall, to finally die. Five hundred thousand arrows flying at you through the sky. Tell me who does this casket belong to, who dies tonight. Four hundred ninety-nine thousand nine hundred ninety-eight. Baby you and me, yeah, you and me. We escaped. © 2011 Dustin ReichmuthReviews
