Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis

A Poem by Dustin Reichmuth
"

A crippling disease, a crippling disease.

"
You see her, in the passenger seat of your car.
And you know you can never get far.
Because the thought of her just, drives, you, wild.
You think, and the thoughts of her swim on
Without her you don't know what's going on
Because she's the one, who's tripped, you, up.

So while you're staying home on a Friday night.
She'll be out there hitting those city lights.
Not worried about you, just leaving you, for a lonely, night.

You've gotta break away, from this all.
She's dragging you down to the hole.
Far below this city, to the depths of hell.
You try to escape, but you know you fell.

For her, you'd give up everything that you are.
While those thoughts of you she discards.
Yeah you know it's true, you know you'll lose again.
One dance, is all you'd ever ask.
But you know what she wants, is what you lack.
Yeah you know it's true, you know how it ends.

So while you're staying home another night.
She'll be out there looking for Mr. One Night.
Not worried about you, just enjoying, the lights.

You've gotta break away, from this all.
She's dragging you down to the hole.
Far below this city, to the depths of hell.
You try to escape, but you know you fell.

Now you're running along while your mind's going crazy.
You take another pill, as things, get a little hazy.
You see her face, and everything's alright.
But she's not there, you're alone tonight.

You've gotta break away, from this all.
She's dragging you down to the hole.
Far below this city, to the depths of hell.
You try to escape, but you know you fell.
