Rise Of The AI Images

Rise Of The AI Images

A Story by DustinA7L
"

Are you horrible at art? Do you want to create illustrations to go with your writing, but lack the artistic ability to do so? I found myself in the same spaceship, but luckily AI is here to save us!

"

Chances are that you’ve watched at least one movie about AI controlled robots taking over the world.  Luckily, “Skynet” hasn’t become self-aware, at least not yet.  As scary as “the rise of the machines” might sound, it has been greatly exaggerated by Hollywood.  In reality, AI has enabled us to make advances in medical technology, space exploration, quantum computing and so much more.  Hitting closer to home, for me, AI has allowed me to explore scenes from my past-life experiences in greater detail.

Writing has become a creative avenue for me to express some of my memories, thoughts, dreams and nightmares from what I believe is a past-life of mine.  I’ve made a lot of discoveries about Astronaut Dustin through thought-experiments with writing.  But I wanted to take it a step further; I wanted some illustrations to accompany my work.  After all, a picture is worth a thousand words as the expression goes.  Unfortunately, I’m a horrible artist.  If you asked me to draw a person I would simply draw a stick figure with a smiley face, or a frowny face- whichever you prefer.  Fortunately for stick figure artists like me, AI has allowed us to create brilliant images that we envision in our mind’s eye.

After experimenting with a few AI image generators online, I seemed to like one called DeepAI the most.  The best part about it is that it’s free!  There are three main characters that show up in my memories, thoughts and dreams: an Astronaut in a white spacesuit, a muscular woman clad in black, and an alien (or multiple aliens).  Yes, aliens, I know, it sounds crazy.  Perhaps even crazier than reincarnation.

Despite the lunacy of my experiences, it was important to me to tell my story through writing and illustrations.  I felt like I’ve been given a message to share and I take that seriously, even though astronauts being abducted by aliens or agents in black is often met with laughter. But at the end of it all, I’m thankful that AI has allowed me to express myself in a way that I never thought possible.  And I appreciate the people who have supported me in my quest to uncover the truth.
