A Poem by Conversing Empty Words
"

You Shine In The Stars

"

I'd rather go back to life before death,

rather than this never-ending game

of hide-and-seek with my inner self,

who seems to hold the key.

I've been running through the woods,

looking... along side a paved street.

I'm more lost than ever while looking

for the light at the end on a cloudy day.

I've been stuck in this drought

for far too long as I'm waiting

for the clouds to fold in,

to find my comfort land.

And when we stand stationary,

I just wanna be alone in this world

to find my self, yes, life before death-

and abuse, and addictions,

and those "life-changing" medications.

I live in a clouded mind,

with too much to sort through.

I'm filling up fast

and I see no end to this chaos

or a stop to this continuous stalking.

And if only I could take my life back-

I've live in this new world

of pain-free anything

without any present reality.

But looking at the stars,

waiting for a meteor-shower,

waiting for me to fall down on you,

waiting for a miracle...

I miss my chance.

Lost - by this world's

captivating beauty.
